Eldwick Primary School is the heart of Eldwick and Gilstead Community. The school is also used by many local residents on an evening for clubs and visitors such as football teams on a weekend.

When someone has heart failure and needs medical assistance its ‘time’ that is essential to restart the heart and supplying blood back to the body’s vital organs.

AEDs are user-friendly devices that untrained bystanders can use to save the life of another.  After calling 999 - you simply turn on the AED's power and the device gives you step-by-step instructions.

We need to raise £1500.00 for the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which includes the full kit, external cabinet, installation and replacement battery and pads for the next few years. 

We have all felt the pain of when a loved one has passed.  What you give to have a moment more with them? One last smile, one last word.

A defibrillator (AED) is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.  This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it's an essential lifesaving step in the chain of survival. 

We are fund raising via Justgiving.com to purchase a defibrillator that will be installed on the exterior wall of Eldwick Primary School.  This will be accessible for the whole community to use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the untimely event that someone goes into cardiac arrest.  This could be used to save the life of an elderly relative visiting you for dinner, good friends staying with you for the weekend, a local resident walking to the post office, grandparents simply collecting from school or your child who is in cardiac arrest and needs immediate medical attention.
