As the end of 2017 approaches, our thoughts turn to those families who may be spending their last Christmas with a loved one. Families with a terminally ill child need our support now more than ever and our dedicated nurses continue to deliver end of life care 24 hours a day, throughout the entire festive period. This means that if a family is in crisis on Christmas Day, for example, their child’s condition suddenly deteriorates severely; our nurses can be there to provide care and support, whatever the time of day or night. 

We are asking our corporate business partners to donate their ‘final hour’ to ellenor this Christmas, by giving the equivalent of your final hour’s salary to ellenor at the end of this year.  For many this will be on Friday 22nd December, for some it may be Friday 29th December, but you can start giving to the appeal now. You can be assured that all donations received to this page will be used to provide care and support for our families.

Your donation will help us to cover the costs of our care over Christmas. For example: 

· £10 could pay for the medical supplies required for a home visit, such as sterile dressings, wipes and gloves 

· £20 could pay for the equipment needed to administer pain relief at the end of life  

· £30 could cover the cost of a play therapy session for a sibling struggling to come to terms with their loss
