As a very successful 2016 draws towards a close and we budget for next year, will you help us to make 2017 even better?

Top of our Christmas wish list is Teacher Training. It may not sound exciting, but teachers are the people who open up a whole world of possibilities for our nation's children.

91% of trainee teachers who come on a farm visit, use their new-found confidence to bring food, farming and the countryside to the classroom. Many of them organise farm visits for their pupils. Without our support, they often tell us they would not know where to begin. 

£1,500 allows us to take 100 future teachers on a farm experience, inspire them with exciting teaching ideas, equip them with teaching tools, and provide follow-up support.

Through those 100 teachers, in the next three years over 8,000 children will have the chance to:

• Develop a healthy relationship with food
• Get outdoors and roam the countryside
• Be inspired by the people who bring food to our table
• Connect with their natural heritage
