The Foxton Centre is a well established charity with a long history of traditional youth and community work in Preston.  

We have ambitious plans to revitalise a disused bowling green on Smiths Recreation Ground in Frenchwood. This is one of the few green spaces left in the area and has now gained a bad reputation due to drug misuse, alcohol misuse and anti-social behaviour.    

Our aim is to create a safe, green space where members of the local and surrounding communities can come together. These improvements will provide a safe environment where children, young people and families can enjoy sports, arts, music, nature and culture.  

Comic Relief are generously supporting young people and our diverse community with a fantastic Crowd Funding opportunity. We are aiming to raise £10,000 to create a vibrant community asset by renovating the bowling green, clubhouse building, surrounding green space and improving all amenities at the site as well as adding an outdoor kitchen area, sports and play facilities.  

Comic Relief will match the sum we raise up to a maximum of £10,000!!!!  

We will be collaborating and working closely with the local mosque, They Eat Culture and Ground Works (Mobile Home Project), Pascoe Engineers, other local businesses, local groups and members of the community to renovate and bring about this exiting transformation which is so badly needed.
