Story
In early 2017, we identified the need to refurbish our Inpatient Unit here at the Haven.
We felt some of the patient rooms could be relocated within the unit to provide patients with a brighter and more appealing view from the window, whilst others could simply do with a lick of paint and a bit of love!
There was a huge outpouring of support from the people of Halton, including local companies and organisations. So many of you made donations, raised money and contributed products and services to the refurbishment work. After a large donation of £42,123 from the Morrisons Foundation in summer 2017, we were able to complete the vast majority of the work.
As a result, all patient rooms are now brighter, more modern and more comfortable, making them better suited to the needs of our patients. The Hospice reception area has been given a new lease of life as well as the corridors, bathrooms, refreshment area and quiet room within the Inpatient Unit.
As of June 2018, the outstanding work to be completed is a new roof on our conservatory and the subsequent redecoration of the Inpatient Unit lounge.
