10 Harlequins Supporters are taking part in the world famous Cabbage Patch 10 on Sunday 15th October. Taking to the streets of Twickenham our runners will be completing the 10 mile race to support the Harlequins Foundation.   

The Harlequins Foundation, established in 2015, was launched to fulfill an opportunity we have, to make a real difference to the lives of those around us. Taking its inspiration from the unique spirit of Harlequins and the power of sport, the Harlequins Foundation works to improve the life chances of young people. 

Our aim is to inspire, educate and equip the young people we work with, opening doors to new opportunities and transforming lives. 

Our Vision is creating a Brighter Future for the next generation. 

Our team of runners are taking part in the Cabbage Patch 10 to help support the work of The Harlequins Foundation including programmes such as;  

METTLE an innovative and exciting mental health campaign which aims to:

· Raise awareness of mental health as an issue – for young people and within our sport  

· Build the mental resilience of young people in our boroughs   

· Better equip our coaches to deal with mental health and promote mental wellbeing  

· Support our staff and players  

And Switch – a multi- tiered programme aimed at encouraging girls to get involved in the sport by: - 

 - Increasing accessibility and participation – Providing opportunities for girls to take part in rugby within their curriculum PE Lessons, afterschool clubs and festivals. 

 - Inspiring and Excelling – Using our coached to nurture and develop girls progression within the game. 

 - Developing and Sustaining – educating staff, supporting schools and providing an onward pathway.
