Story
From infant welfare to community wellbeing Manor Gardens has come a long way since its foundation in 1913 as a School for Mothers. Our work now helps people change their lives and play a full part in their communities. Supporting each other is crucial to community wellbeing. This is why we are asking you to support Manor Gardens and the work we do for the people of Islington:
Healthy eating cookery workshops - we enable people to learn to cook and eat more healthily
Friendship Network - our 70 telephone and face-to-face befrienders provide social contact for isolated older people
Mental wellbeing champions - our volunteer champions provide positive messages about mental health and wellbeing
Stroke service - we provide clubs and advice for stroke survivors
Health advocacy - interpreting support for refugees to access health services, workshops and signposting as well as campaigning to end FGM
Pre-school - early learning setting for children aged 2 to 5
