Story
In the month of December, hundreds of people from offices around the world will be hitting snooze to raise thousands of $$$ to support our youth-led HIV prevention programmes worldwide.
Since our first Hit Snooze campaign in 2015, we've raised over $20,000. This is your chance to make a positive difference to the world without even getting out of bed!
At MTV Staying Alive, our mission is to build an educated and empowered generation of young people, equipped with the skills and knowledge to protect themselves and their peers from HIV.
AIDS is the leading cause of death among young people (aged 10-24) in Africa, and second globally—it is still killing our young people, women and girls, prisoners, MSM and LGBT communities, and migrants. HIV is directly correlated with so many social issues we as a global community fight to end every day. Working together and supporting grassroots organisations around the world is key in ending the HIV epidemic.
Your donation can support organisations like MAAYGO in Kenya, working with local LGBTQ communities and AID4Girls in Ghana, educating girls on their sexual and reproductive health and rights and encouraging continued education.
