The Voyage of Transformation is a 6 day voyage at sea on a lovingly restored wooden boat called the Tectona.The project will support adults who experience mental health difficulties to:

* Manage their mental health difficulties in a positive way through peer support, 1:1 support work, group activities, and community volunteering 

* Develop confidence, team work and leadership skills

* Learn new vocational skills

The money will fund a part time worker, group resources, and a voyage to sea for 9 people where they will use their new skills as volunteer crew on a sail boat for a few days (with opportunity to work towards a RYA certificate).

 We have raised about two thirds of the money for the voyage, but we need to raise £1,000 more. This is a pilot voyage for our organisation but we know that natural environments like the sea can have a greater and longer term impact on people's recovery than some traditional models alone. 

The voyage gives people the opportunity to develop new friendships and skills that they can use to help them manage their longer term mental health.
