Remade in Edinburgh is a charity which teaches computer, furniture and textile repair skills and campaigns for a future in which goods are designed to last. Through this we hope to save people money, teach them new and valuable skills, and minimise the amount of waste ending up in landfill.

Now that we've celebrated just over a year of the Edinburgh Remakery opening its doors, we want to extend our work helping communities across the city.

We need to raise £30,000 to:

- Help vulnerable refugee families with a refurbished laptop through our partnership with the Edinburgh Council Resettlement Project

- Provide furniture to people coming out of homelessness and retain two jobs through our partnership with Edinburgh charity CHAI

- Retain and expand our FREE weekly computer and sewing repair surgery

In the past year alone, we have trained over 640 people in repair skills, donated 10 refurbished laptops to refugees and asylum-seeking children, ran 50 free community computer and textile repair surgeries, diverted 109 tonnes of waste to landfill, created 7 new jobs, and through our partnership with the charity CHAI, we've assisted 92 vulnerable people with free furniture to set up new homes.

And it is only with the support and generosity of our customers, members, and volunteers that we have been able to achieve all of this.
