Story
Let’s Dance International Frontiers (LDIF) have been supporting and showcasing the work of emerging and established, local, national and international artists for seven years, with an internationally recognised programme of high quality dance. Taking place in Leicester each May, LDIF brings diversity to the forefront in dance providing initiatives such as workshops, discussion panels and performances. LDIF brings acclaimed dance practitioners, researchers, emerging artists and the general public together to access, engage with and enjoy dance.
“I’m dead! The person you see right now died because that was so good!”
“I thought it was a brilliant show, I’m speechlessright now. I’ve never see that type of dancing before. It was very abstract, as a dancer I got influenced and a bit inspired, have that discipline on stage and just come out and do your thing!”
"A conversation which I would probably have not had otherwise. One that led to interesting debate. It gave me the opportunity to meet other Black women in dance. Hopefully it will allow Black women in dance to define themselves and not for others to define them."
"A great experience working with fundamental artists in the dance world. A great opportunity to view, be involved with and experience dance from both the audience perspective as well as behind the scenes."
We need your continued support to make LDIF17 possible.
