treefest is a spectacular festive display of Christmas trees held in the Gothic splendour of St Mary Redcliffe Church, attracting thousands of visitors and raising valuable funds for charity.
Story
Treefest benefits a variety of local charities each year,raising around £5,000 through the generosity of corporate and visitor donations. This year we are supporting two charities who do valuable workin our local community.
Mothers for Mothers
Mothers for Mothers provides vital ante and post natal illness support for mums and mums-to-be experiencing depression or anxiety. Run by women who have suffered depression and/or anxiety following the birth of a child, this Bristol charity offers a helpline,counselling services and support groups and also makes home visits. It also supports mums-to-be.
St Mary Redcliffe Church
Our own outreach programme works in partnership with local people and organisations on issues which affect them. This includes Redcliffe Care, which itself has a partnership with Linkage and focuses on older peoples’ needs, and Faithspace, a community centre providing local people with a wide variety of activities.
