Story

In the build up to our reception, which is being hosted on 9th September, Red Ensign Group (REG) is running a fundraiser for Mission to Seafarers (MTS).This is an opportunity for all involved in shipping to show their support for a charity that does worthwhile work in over 70 countries - as well as for our seafarers at home too.   

There are approximately 1.5 million seafarers in the world and REG is aware of their importance to global trade. A charity that seeks to uphold their rights and ensures that these seafarers have support, advice and a friend - in what can be an incredibly solitary life - is a noble and worthwhile cause that we are proud to support.Thanks for reading and please donate whatever amount you can by clicking the button above!

Founded in 1856 and funded entirely by voluntary donations, The Mission to Seafarers offers emergency assistance and support to crews around the world. Whether victims of piracy or those shipwrecked or stranded, we’re there for the globe’s merchant seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs.
