Story

WCPT and our hosts, the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP), need your help to fund delegates from low and low-middle resource member organisations to attend the WCPT Congress 2017.

Physical therapists in many of these countries have very limited access to high quality continuing professional development and global networking opportunities, resulting in challenges to advance the role and practice of the profession to improve population health. Giving individual physical therapists the opportunity to attend a WCPT Congress can benefit not just the individual, but go on to have a lasting legacy in their own country for the profession and public.

“My patients are benefiting from my newly gained knowledge and skills” says a previous bursary recipient from Malawi, “We all have a responsibility to make the world better for those we serve and it is essential that [we] physical therapists promote the expansion of our services”.
