Story
WHO ARE WE?
One of our significant services ishe DOMINO Project - an activities programme engaging people affected by substance misuse and poor mental health in a range of activities that support their recoveries before, during and after treatment interventions. These are delivered across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend in South Wales and they include: gardening, cookery and nutrition, music and band involvement, literacy and numeracy classes, books and reading, photography, structured walks, acupuncture and other interesting courses such as moral philosophy. These activities focus on health and well-being, making meaningful use of time learning new skills and rekindling skills lost, broadening knowledge and making positive changes towards achieving their aspirations for a better future.

WHAT DO WE NEED?
We are seeking £40,000 through Just Giving to ensure we continue until we hear the outcome of our funding proposal. If we don't raise the funds we need by November, the project will end. This money will help us to carry on delivering the activities programme for between 75 and 100 people for 4 months until we hear the outcome of our funding proposal. If the decision is negative, then we will use all the funds raised to extend the programme for as long as we can while we seek alternative sources of funding to sustain the project long term to maximise the benefit for our people and communities we serve.
The people we have engaged with have told us:
“Before I was quite unfit and ate quite badly. With all the activities it has helped with my fitness and made me feel healthier.”
"Being here has given me something to do each day. I've put on weight, I'm healthier. I would say it probably saved my life."
Please don’t let the DOMINO Project end.
