Story

Woodcraft Folk is an organisation that provides fantastic opportunities for all young people to develop an understanding of themselves and the world around them. It brings young people together so that they can develop interpersonal and social confidence and make a collective positive impact on their local communities and beyond.

Sean Norris, Watford Woodcraft Folk

About me and why I’m running:Watford Woodcraft helps local kids learn about nature, the environment and the wider world through camping, walking and cooperative games.  Our group has children from all walks of life with different backgrounds, religions and physical abilities.  Over the past few years our group has grown to nearly 50 children, and we now need some new equipment to take kids camping this summer. I have been helping with Watford Woodcraft for 7 years and enjoyed seeing the group grow as more kids learn to enjoy life in the great outdoors.   I started running again about 5 years ago to offset the weight that I had been quietly accumulating over the years.  During that time I have run a couple of marathons, and always swear at the end of each one that that one was my last!  Oh the pain!!
