Story
Cho Cho is a 4-year-old girl suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; a type of cancer that affects the white blood cells. Shortly after Cho Cho’s diagnosis, her mother and father made the heart breaking decision to discontinue her treatment as they simply couldn’t afford it; a painstaking yet common reality for many families in Myanmar.
4 months later, Cho Cho’s condition had deteriorated. Cho Cho’s mum feared for her child’s life and headed back to Yangon Children's Hospital, this time without her husband. She was now left alone to care for Cho Cho. Given the severity of Cho Cho’s condition, her mum had no other choice but to give up work. Cho Cho's mother found herself again struggling to fund her treatment. However, thanks to the kindness of people like YOU, Cho Cho is now receiving the treatment and care that she needs, and is getting stronger each day.
Together WE CAN ensure that more children like Cho Cho have equal access to diagnosis, treatment and care.
