CAF’s Operation Rebound® program strengthens the mental and physical well-being of veterans, military personnel and first responders with permanent physical injuries by providing them opportunities to use sports and fitness to re-integrate into our communities and by empowering them through sports.

This will be my third time riding the Gran Fondo San Diego.  It is a challenge for me not being anything close to resembling an athlete. Yet, I am quite physically abled.

I look forward to this event every year and am grateful that I am able to fully participate without assistance or special equipment.  I have found enjoyment and freedom in riding my bike since my brother taught me how to ride my first bike when I was five years old.  Now I also do it for fitness.  Everyone should be able to participate and experience the same feelings.
