About us
Ateret Torah Center is an educational center serving the New York Syrian and Sephardic community. Founded in 1980, we provide educational and cultural services with an emphasis on loyalty to our centuries-rich Sephardic heritage. Our core programs are dedicated to the development of a cadre of well-trained and learned individuals who are equipped and ready to assume the mantel of community leadership.
The Ateret Torah Center family of schools serve over 2,100 students in six divisions, which include the pre-school, elementary, and high school programs for boys and girls, which are registered and accredited by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. Our Bet Medrash and Kollel is a highly regarded and state accredited multi-year rabbinical program for promising scholars. Upon completion of their courses of study, these young leaders serve as respected teachers and clergy for our distinctive community.
We also offer a community-focused synagogue and adult education center that serves the daily spiritual and cultural needs of hundreds of families through a wide offering of lectures and religious programs available all through the week.
