My Dad lived for 39 years , pure devastation hit the day he died but without Great Ormond street hospital he wouldn't have lived those years. I am so apprehensive & delighted to be offered a charity place for this years London Marathon. I am dedicating all my training and hard work to my Daddy after 10 years without him. Please help me raise money for all the children at Great Ormond street that deserve many more years x

When my Dad , Kevin Manahan was born he had  problems with his heart , he spent the beginning of his life in Great Ormond street hospital. As a newborn he underwent open heart surgery.

Thanks to Great Ormond streets treatment & care my Dad went on to live a normal, healthy life after another operation at 12 years of age.

Sadly at 39 Years we lost my dad due to pressure building up closing one of his heart valves. This obviously caused devastation for us all and there isn't a day that goes by we dont think and remember him and his big cheeky smile. 

I want to donate all my training and hard work to my Dad because I miss him so much and along with my mum , they have given me the best start in life. Two days before 2015's London Marathon it will be 10 years since he past away.

I am donating all the money I raise to Great Ormond street hospital because without them Dad wouldn't have had those 39 years.

All the children & their families that are born and grow up with medical problems, deserve the best world-class care. That's why every penny I raise will go to support Great Ormond street hospital to ensure they live long , healthy lives. We all deserve this.
