As you may know I am a solicitor specialising in domestic violence and abuse. I feel very passionately about this issue and really want to make a difference and help victims of domestic abuse. I am raising money for Women's Aid which is a charity close to my heart and one which we work closely with in my daily work.

Women's aid is a charity for women and children working to end domestic abuse. Of course, many men also suffer from domestic abuse and this can happen to anyone at any stage in their lifetime. It is unacceptable and should not happen.

I am therefore running the Great North Run 2015 which is a 13.1 mile challenging course with some wonderful sights on the way. I ran this race in 2013 and really hope to beat my time this year.

Please dig deep and sponsor me as little or as much as you can spare. The sponsorships are sure to spur me on during my training and I will post updates as and when I can.

You can help me make a change to many women and children's lives in the UK, provide them with a safe place to live or even just a supporting ear at times of need.
