Please see below about Chris's Story - he is a battler and has already achieved great things despite what he has faced. He wants to raise money for GOSH, and even though with support from lots of people he has achieved is £100k - he wants to continue to see what he can do.
Tony Elson, a family friend who has encountered a lot of pain throughout his life and recognised fighters has passed away. He was always impressed by Chris's plucky attitude to life and has asked people to contribute to charity rather than flowers, so if you are one of those people - thanks for your donation
Christopher’s story
My mum was told that every child writes their own story and this is
mine.
It’s a story about what happened to me last summer . Lots of my
family and friends decided to write down some stuff about what
did happen and how the fantastic people at Great Ormond Street
Hospital have helped me.
They saved my life. They also save lots of other children’s lives
with their specialist knowledge but they can’t treat everyone as
quickly as they would like as they haven’t got enough space or
equipment or surgeons. There are only a handful of specialist
sugeons who can perform the operations that saved me.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is hoping to raise £4 million over
the next three years for two new operating theatres and equipment
for the neuroscience department. I’ve decided to help them
by raising £100,000 through sponsorship and my own fundraising
activities.
