Two years ago I completed Lands End to John O Groates on my bicycle. The journey took me 10 days and was 992 miles in total.. It was a Amazing experience and I raised roughly 2,400 for DSGN which is a great charity. I said at the time the next one would be bigger and better so here goes. I will be cycling this journey on my own but will have the help of my great mate George Denyer who will be driving a old Rectro German motorhome and will be pitching up in campsites around the coast. I will be starting in Great Yarmouth and travelling the coast of England and Wales and finishing in Great Yarmouth, hopefully completing 1600 miles in 17 days averaging 94 miles a day. It will be the equivalent of Lands End to John o Groates and back down to Northampton so a bigger achievement than two years ago!!!. This bit sounds geeky but the elevation gain (hill climbing) will total around 88,000 feet which is roughly 2 and a half times as high as a aeroplane flight.
