During 2020, 0161 Community answered thousands of calls for help, from people and families in the greater Manchester area. Because we know that in 2021, there will be thousands of more calls for help, we are trying to fundraise amongst the community to purchase two large container units.

We need to do this to ensure we can stockpile as much as we can to offer the community. Using these units as central hubs across the city, we will be able to direct our volunteers to where they are needed, and ensure we are able to double the amount we are able to offer, we aim to be available in every corner of Greater Manchester, and we need your help to do this.

Unfortunately, we've not always been able to keep up with demand and this is painful for our volunteers, because as 0161 Community volunteers, we all vowed to do our best to help our fellow Mancunians. And we never want to turn somebody who needs help away.

We all know that in 21st century Manchester, there should not be a child without food, a woman without sanitary products or a family without toilet paper, these are the very basics that we deserve as people, and together we can offer not only these things, but more, together we offer hope.

From these humble units, we aim to offer each and every Mancunian hope that tomorrow will be a brighter one.
