Weʼre raising £500 to Raise money for the Parkinsons Unit at Royal Derby Hostpital
- Derby, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We have 4 very willing gents from The Corn Exchange who are doing a 10k run to raise money and awareness for the Parkinsons Unit at Royal Derby Hospital. Callum Knott, Matt Hayes, Adam Goodwin, Matt Holland and Daniel Hood will be taking to the streets of Litchfield on the 9th September. A charity close to our hearts, any donations are very appreciated
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.
The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.
People with Parkinson's don't have enough of the chemical dopamine because some of the nerve cells that make it have died.
There are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help manage the condition.
Thank you so much
