    ***UPDATE***
    Wow! What can we say?
Firstly and most importantly, thank you, thank you for your act of kindness, for letting this young man know that he is welcome, wanted and loved. Thank you for being part of something that actively demonstrates the real feeling of the nation. You are all amazing and we are incredibly happy that these small acts of kindness have connected us all so positively.

At the moment we are respecting the young mans right to privacy so whilst we understand people want to know how he's doing, we are sure you'll agree that it would be better to wait until he is ready to tell us himself.
In terms of the fund, the money is currently being held, at our request by justgiving, this will be for a brief period whilst his team finalise the trust fund which is being set up for him. As you can imagine, we have to be incredibly careful to make sure this doesn't damage his chances of asylum and also the care he rightly deserves from other agencies. To that end we have been working with legal teams and social workers to ensure the very best outcome. We will update you all on this page as to that progress.

We now compiling all of your amazing messages and will be making them into a book to also give to the young man.

Once again, thank you so much, regardless of who we are, where we are from and what journey we've been on, your support is proof enough that love wins!

We are raising funds to help a 17 year old asylum seeker who's fighting for his life after being brutally attacked in London. A large gang subjected him to a savage attack upon learning that he was seeking asylum here in the United Kingdom.

The Guardian wrote, “He has sustained critical head and facial injuries as a result of this attack, which included repeated blows to the head by a large group of attackers. A number of people came to the aid of the victim as he lay unconscious and injured following the assault."

As we approach the next phenomenal milestone of 50K we should take a moment to appreciate the gravity of this clear signal to those who preach hate and use violence against others. We are many times more than the tiny minority of people that acted so cruelly and all of us will be able to say that we stood up and said no. Thank you all for making the world brighter. Catch you all tomorrow XX Rob and Bridey

An update from his brother. This is why it's so important that we raise as much as possible, to help support what is very likely to be a long and hard recovery. thttp://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/reker-ahmed-asylum-seeker-attackers-must-be-brought-to-justice-minister-says-a3507756.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
