Story
In July 2016, my 11 year old niece told her mother (my sister) she had been abused by her dad. My sister then made her husband leave the family home and there has been a criminal investigation ongoing since. The family have been let down on numerous occasions by the police, the children's grandparents and obviously their father. The children and my sister need to move house to be closer to family, and being in the current house (where the abuse happened) is causing issues for the family as they are being constantly reminded about what has happened.
After he had left the family home, my sister then found out he had left them in rent arrears. My sister had just had a baby so he was in charge of paying the rent. My sister now cannot move house until the rent arrears have been paid off and the longer they are in the house and the area, my sister and her family are struggling more and more to start afresh and re-build their lives.
I'm asking because there is no other option. My sister is now a single mum to 4 children, and is having to take on everything alone, by no fault of her own. This man, who she and the children loved have let her down, along with his parents, the children's grandparents, are not supporting the family as they are protecting him and supporting him after the terrible thing he done to my niece.
As a family, we are struggling to find any other option to get the family moved quickly to avoid anymore upset and stress to the children. Anything that you may be able to donate, be it £1, £5 or £10 will be greatly appreciated, just to get the children to a place where they feel safe, and to help the family re-build their lives and have a fresh start.
Thank you.
