What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which came as a complete shock to my system. Although it progressively takes it toll, I am confident that a cure will be found one day. The secret is to surround yourself with people who understand the challenges that present themselves to you, and this is where my local Parkinson's Support Group is invaluable. Coupled with the support that I get at home, in particular from Corinne, my wife, and the other members of my family, it makes it much more manageable and I couldn't do it without them. The money raised from this 24 hour tennis marathon will go towards ensuring the long term security of this vital support group.

The 24 non-stop Tennis Marathon has now taken place and I managed to play a singles against Pat Cash. I even made the winning point. It was an amazing day and the generosity of the people there and you all just giving supporters is so much appreciated by myself. I will be posting more updates in the near future. So thank you again for your generosity. Best wishes Mark
