My name is Dan Baker and on February 4th 2017 I will be attempting a 24hour litter pick. This will involve me picking litter and clearing rubbish at several different places in the West Midlands for 24 hours straight!

There will be a few quick toilet stops and a few minutes taken throughout the 24hour period to eat my pre-prepared meals, but otherwise it will be a continuous, non-stop 24hour litter pick through the day and night!

I am doing this because I want desperately to raise funds for my good friend Dominic Bergin who is currently fighting for his life against stage 4 bowel cancer.

Last year he was told by NHS doctors that due to 'limited treatment options' available in this country that he had around 6-12 months to live. However, in true Dom style he refused to take no for an answer and has since been undergoing treatment at the Hallwang Clinic in Germany where thanks to their pioneering treatments they have been experiencing great success with similar cancers to Dom's and early signs and results from Dom himself are looking very promising!

But, the treatments are not cheap and are somewhere between £200-250,000 a year! Because of this huge cost Dom, his fiancee Robyn and his family and friends have been raising as much money as possible to allow him to continue with his life saving treatments.

I would love to be able to raise as much money as possible for my friend (whilst also doing some good for the local community and cleaning up the local area). Please give generously and I will litter pick like my own life depended on it for 24hours solid and in doing so help my friend Dom receive the treatments he needs.
