As a leader in the 4th Cramlington Cubs I am part of a team trying to raise £2000 to repair damaged to our storage facility. I am hosting this page and we will be holding a raffle and car boot sale to also help raise the money.

The scouts association is a charity and all leaders and assistants are volunteers therefore we rely on donations and weekly subs to pay for equipment, hire of the venu and to pay for anything else that may come along.

Unfortunately over our holidays would be thieves damaged the, up until now, free garage we were using so much they were unable to get in to steal anything but have left us with a hefty repair bill, which includes structural repair to our garage and the one next door.

We were given the garage 36 years ago free of rent as long as we maintained and carried out any repairs to damage we caused from social services/ local council. They are now making us pay to repair the garage as their insurance doesn't cover it (apparently) and are then going to start charging us rent!

The little money we have in our kitty was going towards a near free trip out for the cubs, although we had not yet told the group and not chosen a destination as we are in the middle of our summer break.
