May 14th Exe Valley Triathlon 400m swim, 25 km bike, 5 km run
May 21st Burrator 10k run
May 28th Saltram 10k run
June 11th South Hams Triathlon 750M Sea Swim, 20K Bike, 5K Run
June 24th Plymouth Aquathlon 1500m sea swim, 10K run.
I want to raise money for items of equipment that will help make the stay of patients on the Neurology Ward (Burrator) in Derriford, Plymouth as comfortable as possible.
The patients that are omitted to the ward are suffering from:
the effects of strokes, brain tumors, muscular sclerosis, ME, sudden neurological disorders and brain injuries.
At present, there is no money that can be spent on equipment that can make there stay more endurable and comfortable. These patients can be in the ward for long periods of time and as I witnessed first hand one patient who was entering their sixth month on the ward, miles away from his closest family.
I want to give back to the ward the support I was given.
Please dig deep and remember that one day unexpectedly we may need that support.

7 years agoSo far we have raised a total of £750 for the Burrator ward. This month I will be taking on 3 challenges starting this Sunday with the Sidmouth Aquathlon. March the 19th is the Mad March Hare 10k followed by March the 26th the Saltram 10k. This month the challenge steps up a notch as all the events involve running. I still can not feel 60% of my feet while I rest and when I start to run I lose ALL the feeling in both my feet and find them very hard to control. Thank you for what you have done so far. #keepitup #sixmonthsforburrator

7 years agoChallenge swap. I have taken out the wildnightrun series for a few reasons beyond my control. Therefore the 26k will be replaced with the London Triathlon and the prudential ride london. :)
