I have been offered an AMAZING opportunity for the Summer of 2018 ... a four week volunteering expedition to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, with Camps International. I will be supporting rural communities by working on projects that are much needed in their areas such as, building schools, community centres or housing, improving sanitation and water supplies, and working with the local children. I will also be getting involved with reforestation projects, marine and wildlife conservation and protection.

I think this is a great opportunity for me as it gives me the chance, one not often available, to help a country and community to develop. It will allow me to continue my interest in different cultures and ways of life, on a whole new scale, at the same time as being able to help animals which is something I have always been passionate about.

I will be doing various fundraising activities over the next 18 months and also plan to use wages earned from my part time job to contribute to the target myself.
