Story
Kieran and I are taking part in the Potters Half Marathon and a 10K Wolf run on consecutive weekends in order to raise money for the Paul Taylor Charity Fund, a cause close to my family's heart.
In April 2015, Paul, passed away after a short battle with lung cancer. He was 57.
In 2016 fifteen of Paul’s friends and family formed the Paul Taylor Charity Fund. The sole aim is to continue Paul’s legacy of strength and determination, raising money for a great cause.
During Paul’s treatment he met Professor Josep Sule-Suso (Dr Joe) through his pioneering research project into diagnosing lung cancer through breath analysis.
The research, if successful, could lead to the invention of a simple test, which would allow a far earlier diagnosis of lung cancer – automatically improving prognosis.
The test would be much less invasive than existing methods and results would be available in minutes; not days or weeks as is currently the case.
