Beginning 1 March 2017 I will spend five months in Africa to volunteer in local communities and schools.

I will begin my journey in Kenya working in West Special School in Bungoma. This school supports and aids the development of children with mental and physical disabilities and those with hearing impairments. I will be supporting the staff with the children's studies and sports as well as general care, maintenance and the school's development.

I will then travel to South Africa where I will work in the Vrygrond Community with the organisation "DreamsToReality" helping the children and youths of the community to develop their skills, teaching them about health, aiding their studies and also enhancing the safety of their community by rebuilding, improving and protecting their facilities.

I will then move on to Zambia where I will work in a school and local community through the group "Dream Livingstone Zambia", teaching children who are orphaned or less privileged, helping them with HIV/AIDS awareness, education and sports. I will also work in a training centre providing tuition in essential life skills and development to aid those who cannot find much-needed support elsewhere and help them become self-sufficient.

Both the Zambian and South African projects are run through IVHQ; an organisation based in New Zealand which places volunteers abroad for elongated periods of time.
