    Story

This idea is a joint venture with Kerry Martin and myself. Kerry is a staff member who works at my school and is as passionate as I am about giving everybody opportunities. The idea was founded on the principal that all students should know where their food comes from, and how much work and effort is required to grow your own produce. Furthermore, everybody deserves the right to 'green time'. As more and more land is being grabbed for housing less and less is being saved for gardens. As a result many people live in housing with no gardens, so we want to give the local community the chance to be green fingered. The principal of hard work and dedication will continue help our students to develop their mental attitude into growth mindsets, which will go to help their studies, and to life after Brentwood County High School.

    BENEFITS:
Start up of a new gardening club for students and the wider community.
The vegetables can be used in the school's cooking, and as a result will help students to expereince the amount of work required to grow vegetables which they might not have known about before.
The allotment will allow for in-depth education into plants, and the allotment will house a moth trap.
The allotment will be used in school competitions to see what house can grow the most over the year in the five allocated growing beds.
The Community will hopefully be allowed to experience a green space and come into school and join the gardening club with the students, and ultimately share their knowledge of gardening.

A full project proposal can be sent out as an emailed copy to anybody who is thinking about donating.

I was elected as the Head Boy for my school during the period of 2016-2017. Since being elected I have tried my best to introduce as many new ideas as possible to help increase the opportunites available for the students.
