BIC Marathon Challenge

As digital technology takes an ever-increasing role in pupils’ education we feel it is vitally important that we keep our ICT equipment up-to-date around the school. We need this equipment to ensure our pupils can survive and prosper as successful digital citizens. Sadly with continuous cuts to education and a lack of decision making in Stormont some of our computer equipment in our Library now needs replaced urgently. We have decided to try and raise funds for ICT equipment by taking on a Belfast Marathon Challenge.

10 brave members of staff, with limited running experience, have decided to challenge themselves to split into two teams and take part in legs of the Belfast Marathon. Sadly Mo Farrah and Usain Bolt have nothing to fear in terms of running records but we are all keen to push ourselves to achieve some personal bests and raise some vital funds for the college. The two teams taking on the challenge this year are:

Any funds raised will go towards ICT equipment. We hope to raise as much money as possible to replace as many old desktops as possible from our Library.
