Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
So it's that time of year again where capitalism & materialism take over, where we overindulge and most of us forget to true meaning of Christmas.
This year I'm organising a small mission to give back to the forgotten community, those that won't be able to wake up on Christmas Day in a warm house, open presents from loved ones, cook a hearty meal and spend time enjoying their day..the homeless people whose only chance of a hot meal will be a soup kitchen (assuming they know where one is), if they make it in time before the food runs out or can even get there at all.
I'm not proposing anything big but I will be going out on Christmas Eve in Birmingham City Centre to give gift bags of necessary items, a packed lunch and a glimmer of hope.
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Meet up point : TBC
Meet up time : 10pm
What I'm asking is, would this be something you are willing to support me with? Whether it's a donation of a £1, a tube of toothpaste or a pair of thick socks? Are you able to give me some of your time to prepare food or help hand this out ? Or maybe you could support me with valuable knowledge on what to pack or where to go?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If you have any queries please contact me :)

8 years agoThe body of a homeless man was found in Birmingham City Centre on Tuesday as temperatures plummeted to -6 degrees. This was one article on the Birmingham Mail website but how many goes unreported ? It's so easy to not think of these people whilst we are in our warm houses with our full stomachs and although we may all have our own problems, one little act of kindness from you will go a long way!

I have wanted to take part in opportunities with my children to demonstrate humility, compassion and appreciation, embedding traits within them that humanity needs more of. However, we live in a society full of red tape so therefore I am creating my own events to give back.
