    Story

Helping raise funds for RNLI Peterhead on behalf of the Doyle family. I have grown up with the Doyles my whole life with my best friend losing her Uncle and my dear friends losing their Dad.

The family story.....we lost our Dad in April 2009 in the tragic Helicopter crash near Peterhead – Bond Flight 85N. We as a family have pledged to raise funds for the volunteers of the local RNLI in gratitude of their tireless searching for 16 men who lost their lives that day. They have treated us the families with sensitivity and respect. They have even taken some of the bereaved families out to the crash site in order to help with their grieving process. The RNLI is a charity, they aren’t Government funded and operate from donations only. These brave volunteers risk their lives everyday in order to save others.

For those of you who work offshore or even visit installations/vessels ad-hoc in the North Sea these are the crew who will be mobilised to assist in an incident/accident/search offshore. The RNLI are a crucial emergency service for the thousands who work in the treacherous North Sea and they need our support. Many of us will remember the day Bond Flight 85N went down, Aberdeen mourned a huge loss.

Due to the downturn in the oil and gas industry the Aberdeen economy has since suffered thus making it more difficult for local companies and businesses to make donations. To try and help raise funds we have arranged a Charity Night, which will be held in Cumbernauld, Raymonds home town on Saturday 25th February 2017 with all monies going to the RNLI.

Your donations are greatly appreciated by the Doyle family and friends.
