There are many people around the world who go on living without ever realising that their vision is poor.
I am an optometrist and cannot emphasis the importance of eyecare enough. It is something we take almost for granted. Prescription glasses can cost as little as £10, but many do not have the means to buy them or have access to eye care professionals.
I plan on reaching out to these deprived areas of Sri Lanka that are easily forgotten. The aim will be to provide eye tests, glasses and to educate people on the importance of eye health. The money raised will go to buying glasses for those in desperate need.
