    Story

The children of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell love to play outdoors and we would like to enhance the current play facilities.
Phase 1 will add a new toddler play area in Kingsmeadow and a new zip line for the older children at a cost of £60,500. In addition to this, we will resurface the existing play area.
Phase 2 will add new play equipment to the Recreation Ground play area on Mackey Lane at a cost of approximately £40,000. This will also include the addition of adult gym equipment.
The committee has applied for two grants to fund the construction. The grant guidelines require that we "match fund" of a small percentage of the total amount in order to release the grant. This JustGiving page has been set up in order to raise the necessary funds to meet the match funding requirements. To confirm, our £15,000 target will cover funding for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
We estimate that once our full fundraising target is achieved, Phase 1 construction could begin in October 2017.
Our wonderful village is a community of generous and giving people so please donate to our cause!

Villagers can also donate via the Community Association of Brightwell cum Sotwell. A box is located in the village shop.

      Update from the Page owner

We are excited to announce that work has now begun on the building the new play area in Kingsmeadow. The parish council have also kindly donated funds to build a new trim trail around the existing play area so we shall have a wonderful play area for children of all ages to explore, socialise and have fun in. We cannot wait and hope to complete mid September.
