Weʼve raised £390 to Help raise money for www.alexsjourney.co.uk to send a nine year old boy for Proton Beam Therapy to fight his very rare cancer

Story
Alex is a nine year old boy who after having been misdiagnosed initially was then found, in June 2016 to have a very rare cancer in his leg called Ewing Sarcoma. Since diagnosis the disease has spread. He needs to go abroad for Proton Beam Therapy and needs to raise a six figure sum to do this!
A lot of fund raising events are ongoing most notably Alex has brought out a record "Horizon on my Mind", available now on Amazon, and soon a music video is coming out which will be well worth seeing. The aim is to beat a certain X Factor to the Christmas number one!

Nigel is riding the Snowman Sportive from Warwick on Saturday November 19 over a distance of 65 miles. Nigel has ridden many sportives before but apart from London to Paris and the epic JoGLE has never asked for sponsors before.
This time Nigel begs you to please donate and help get Alex the important treatment he needs.

Despite it being very cold, constant real feel of -2 or lower, cold breeze and frozen roads for early part I banged out the 65 miles in good time average of 13.84mph so after some recent lethargic training rides I'm happy. Main thing is that while on the ride we passed our funding target of £250 and given that I thought we might just raise a ton I'm so happy! I got a medal for Alex who was with me on that ride in mind and soul and when I told them his story they also gave a finishers T. Mega. Thanks to you all, but I'm still collecting!

8 years agoGood morning. It's 5:30am and I'm about to head for Warwick. It's cold outside and I've woken up a bit bunged up and with a runny nose but nothing is going to stop me doing this today. I'll update you with how the day has gone later. Thanks for your support so far but please.............we need so much more.
