Story
On Saturday May 06th 2017 starting at 06:00am at the foot of Mount Snowdon 25 intrepid staff from Cardiff High School will attempt to scale the 3 tallest peaks in Wales within a 24 hour period . Starting at Snowdon before moving onto Cadair Idris and finally finishing at Pen-Y-Fan. This is a very physical challenge which includes 21 miles of walking, 300 miles of driving and 3 ascents totalling 2900 mtrs. We are doing this to raise funds for 2 organisations. Firstly Macmillan cancer on behalf of a much respected and beloved colleague John Marusza who sadly passed away last year and secondly so we can purchase camping equipment for our students to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

7 years agoLast group practice walk before the 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday May 06th . 12 intrepid members of staff started out from Storey Arms at 09:30 on Sunday and managed to scale 4 peaks of Corn Du , Pen-y-Fan , Cribyn and Fan-y-Big before returning at 15:30 after 15 kilometres of walking over 6 hours a lot of aching legs and blisters but needed to be done .

7 years agoFirst practice for the forthcoming CHS Charity 3 Welsh Peaks Challenge. Lovely day for a walk up Fan Fawr, Corn Du and Pen-Y-Fan. It's was crowded and there was a queue for photo, so we gave that a miss! We all made it back safe and sound with a bit of a tan and a lot of aching limbs!
