CROYDON NETBALL LEAGUE
We are delighted to be currently working with England Netball and Shirley High School in having major works done on netball courts currently used at the school for our central venue.
The first part involves all the courts being resurfaced etc at a cost of £97k and this work has now started.
The second part involves getting floodlighting installed at a cost of £47k and again working with the school on this and Sport England.
CNL is a thriving League and these facilities all on one site will help improve and ensure the longevity of netball in the borough and of course CNL.
We run a competitive Saturday league, an Evening and Summer League which gives a good variety of netball. In addition clubs have junior sections, Back2Netball and a new initiative by England Netball 'Walking Netball' which is being planned when all the works are completed. In addition these facilities will be used for training and courses, along with the school's needs and by the County.
This is a major undertaking/commitment backed by England Netball, Shirley High School and CNL and these improved facilities will give so many the opportunity of fitness at so many different levels, which as we know is very important to everyones well being.
Facilities like these are few and far between in the borough and county and will be of so much benefit to all concerned, and we as a League want to play our part in giving the best opportunity.
