Story
The Phoenix Unit is a Chemotherapy, Haematology and Infusion Day Unit at Sunderland and is recognised as a leading Cancer Unit and is part of the North of England Cancer Network. They are an overarching “hub” for a range of settings for the provision of chemotherapy service – hospital, home and outreach – depending on a patient’s preference and treatment type.
It was the Phoenix Unit that treated my Uncle in his last fight against cancer, and who cared for him into his final days. My whole family is going to join in the Boxing Day Dip to raise money for the excellent doctors, nurses, HCAs, and auxilliary staff who continue the daily struggle to treat and eventually cure cancer.

7 years agoOh god. Oh holy crap. It's the Big Day. I'm gonna be sick. On the plus side, our Holly's joining in now so I've got someone to cling to and squeal at when I can't handle how GOD DAMN COLD IT IS OMFG.

7 years agoHoly cow you guys! I'm at £75, and as a group we're at over £1000! I'm so proud of all of my aunts and cousins and friends doing this thing!!! ~*~ THANK YOU ~*~ to everyone who has already donated; it really does mean so much to have your support. The Phoenix Unit were really good to our Anth and they'll make really good use of the money I'm sure. For any who are still wanting to donate but are skint because CHRISTMAS, that's cool :) This page will be open until 7th Jan for any money you can find in your hearts and wallets to give <3
