On the 20th February 2017 Callum collapsed and was rushed into hospital. He was given an emergency head scan and it revealed that he had a bleed to his brain stem.

Callum was taken from the RUH down to Bristol southmead hospital.

Since this has happened Callum then had another bleed to the brain (8 weeks later) and then had to undergo 2 emergency brain surgeries to save his life .

He is now out of intensive care for the second time and on a neuro surgery ward , where he will remain until he is well enough to move on to intense brain injury rehabilitation centre at frenchey hospital! This is where Callum will have to continue to learn how to do his everyday life skills again e.g walk , talk , eat etc.

Callum has been an absolute star and he is just simply amazing and everyday he is making slow progress!
As a family we could not be any more prouder then we are right now.

This has affected the whole family massively as you can imagine but most implortantly is Callum's mum Amanda, and young brother and sisters. Their lives have been turned completely upside down since this has happened to such a close person to them as his immediate family. Amanda has not spent a day not by Callum's side since this has happened and has had to put work on hold where she is a nurse herself and put a hold on her whole life to be their for her son and younger children Beth, Cem and Martha. She truly is one amazing women and the best mum Callum could ever want and need.

We have set up this page to raise money for Callum so that we can get him a iPad and anything he may need on his road to recovery for example specialist equipment that he may need to excel his recovery.

The iPad will make a big impact on his brain activity and also let him keep up to date with everything that's going on around him.
