Unfortunately, on 23rd December 2016, 8 Children, Alisha, Kyle, Josh, Zak,Georgie, Jacob, Isaac and Faith, unexpectedly lost their father to cancer. This was our bother-in-law, our Sister, Katrinas' husband. Christian was admitted to hospital in late November with suspected perforated gall bladder, his condition rapidly declined.

After 2 weeks in hospital, awaiting test results, the worst was confirmed, that Christian had an aggressive form of cancer and that it was terminal and given only months to live. Plans were being made to get Christian home to his family for Christmas.
The hospital started making plans to get Christian home on the 22nd to see his family and enjoy their final Christmas together.
Within hours of making the plans, the hospital called again. Christians condition was worsening and for us to expect to lose him in a matter of weeks not months.

The following day, the family had arranged to go and visit Christian, with the children taking letters to their Dad, it turns out that these would be the last things he would read. Christian passed away around 11am on the 23rd December with his eldest children by his side. He missed the final Christmas that he and his family were looking forward to.

Our sister is adamant she will continue to provide for her children and offer them all of the things that she and Christian would have done together. We have a family holiday to Belgium booked for summer 2017. This is still in her plans. New family car, continuing upgrades to the family home. But all of these plans are at risk due to the increasing costs of funeral and associated expenses which take priority.

We, as her family, are asking for all those who can, to assist Katrina in still providing for these impressionable, expectant children at a very difficult time.
