On 04 November the Ouseburn Community Centre annual Fireworks will make its welcomed return to City Stadium (the park at the bottom of Warwick Street, Heaton).

This fantastic event recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Every year it has welcomed thousands of children, their families and other residents from across Heaton and the surrounding areas while continuing to attract bigger crowds year on year.

The Fireworks have always been organised by the Community Centre and local volunteers who have fundraised locally to put on this FREE event for local people.

However, different funding sources are becoming harder to find or reducing. The Ouseburn Community Centre is hoping that local residents will support the event to continue into the future by making a donation towards some of the cost. Each year we raise about £4,000 in total to hold the fireworks evening and we hope that local residents can help raise the remaining £1,500 we are missing.

If you’re unable to donate here today, please make sure to look out for our collection buckets on the evening and dig deep for your loose change to make sure we can continue to hold the event for other at least another 30 years to come.”
