Story
On 23rd April I will be running the Southampton Marathon in memory of my incredible Uncle Martyn who sadly took his own life.
I am raising money for the DPJ Foundation which is a charity that supports people with mental health issues in the rural communities in Pembrokeshire. The charity aims to break down the stigma of mental health and raise awareness.
The foundation was set up in the name of Daniel Picton-Jones, who suffered with mental health issues throughout his life and sadly took his own life. Daniel was a caring, considerate and amazing man who always supported others. He was a great support system to many but was unable to seek the support he needed for his own problems. One of Daniels wishes was for other people to be helped in a way that he felt he couldn’t. So from this the DPJ foundation was born.
