Danny Murphy is a 67 year old pensioner, a Father of 3 and a Grandfather of 5. Our Dad is a hard working taxi driver and has been for over 40 years, a job in which he has always loved and taken pride in doing. A proud, private man, who would never worry anyone with his own problems but would always take the time to listen, offering a sympathetic ear to many passengers over the years.

About a year ago, he was diagnosed with an aneurism that has increased rapidly in size, which meant Open AAA life threatening heart surgery. Knowing the recovery period from this operation would be 6 months (minimum), Danny decided to double his work hours so he could ensure he would be financially stable whilst he recovered so his family would not have this burden.

Devastatingly last Friday, 3 days before his surgery, Danny's home was broken into and ALL of his savings, that he had worked so hard for, were cruelly stolen! Danny had his operation on Tuesday, which we are pleased to say, was a success and he is now recovering in the High Dependancy Unit.

Sadly his recovery is hindered due to the stress of not only what happened in his home of over 20 years but the fact that he is unable to financially support himself through this traumatic time.

As his family, we want our dad's recovery to be focused on getting him back to full health and at this point all he is worrying about is money.

Danny is not aware of this fundraising effort as he is of an era in which you do not ask for help. Please help us to relieve him of these money worries so he can focus on his health. Please dig as deep as you can, any donations are gratefully received.
