This is Darcey Rose Turner or Darcey Doo-little/little squishy face as I like to call her :-)
Darcey was born on the 1st of March 2016 a beautiful, healthy and happy baby. Sadly a few months after she was born she stopped feeding and her spleen became massively enlarged. At just a few months old Darcey was diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia or JMML, a very rare disease, accounting for less than 1% of all childhood leukaemia's.

Treatment options for JMML patients are limited and the only treatment with a chance of cure is a stem cell transplant. Around 50% of children who undertake a transplant obtain long term remission.
Darcey is awaiting transplant and will have this when she is strong enough. This is going to be a very long journey for her and her loved ones.

Darcey has lived most of her short life in hospital putting immense strain and pressure on her family. She is currently living in Oxford Childrens Hospital after having her 1.5kg spleen removed as it was causing her pain and adding to her problems. This is over a 1.5hr journey from her home and extended family.

Darceys Mum and Dad (Natali and Ashley) are hard working people yet need to spend precious time with their baby. Ashley has had to return to work full time to pay their mortgage/bills and support his family. Leaving Natali in Oxford alone during the week and visiting when he can. No family should have to make the choice between money and caring for their very unwell baby.

This is why I have created this page. Apart from us all giving them love and support, I wish we could help to ease some of the financial strain.
Money raised by your very kind donations will be give to the family allowing them to spend valuable time with Darcey at her bedside giving her the love and cuddles she needs.
Although we can not change this horrible situation we can help to ease some of the pressures, making life just a little bit easier for them.
